Eva seem to be adjusting to us but I suspect there are time that she looks at me and knows that I am not her "mommy" and that she misses her. Over time Eva has started to flirt with me more for socializing than for food. Otherwise her only negative behaviors is the rare "is that food?" finger biting and nervous peeing on one of her platforms. I also suspect that Agatha the budgie bird might be intentional intimidating her with wing flapping and squawking at her when and if Eva does something that displeases her.

We miss her too!! I keep saving veggie scraps when I prepare dinner, forgetting that she's no longer here to eat them!!
I'm glad she seems to be adjusting, though. I'm sure that with time she and the other girl rats will be good buddies.
Do you think the platform peeing is a nervous thing? She and her sister always seemed to use the platform as their "# 1" bathroom location rather than the shavings on their floor. We just assumed they were too lazy to climb all the way from the top hammock to the floor.....
I kind of agree with the 'lazy' idea. I noticed the pee happening at certain times of the day...
